THE STORY BEHIND FLOW PILATES

Hi, I’m Anna — founder of Flow Pilates.

Hi, I’m Anna — founder of Flow Pilates.

I spent years in fintech building digital experiences — products people lived through screens. I loved creating. But everything existed online.

At the same time, I was a former dancer, a mom of two, and constantly in my head — deadlines, noise, pressure. I felt how easy it is to lose connection with your body.

Pilates brought me back.

What looked graceful was deeply demanding. Breath, control, focus. My body shook. My mind quieted. I left feeling stronger and clearer — not just physically, but mentally.

That shift changed me.

If I could build digital platforms, I could build something real. A space where people step away from mental overload and return to their bodies.

In a fast world, grounding yourself and regulating your nervous system isn’t optional — it’s essential. And beyond strength, we crave connection. Real people. Shared effort. Community rooted in health and longevity.

Flow was created for that.

Not just a workout — but a place to breathe, belong, and grow strong together.

Christine

Christine’s Pilates journey began on the mat in her early twenties, but everything shifted in 2020 when she started training on the reformer. Since then, movement has become a path to healing, growth, and purpose. She is currently working toward full Polestar Pilates certification through Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and will soon begin Pediatric Pilates training at the Polestar Education Center in Miami.

Beginner Flow is her favorite space to teach. She loves witnessing clients move through discomfort, discover their strength, and realize they already have everything they need to transform. Pilates played a vital role in her own healing, and it’s an honor for her to now hold space for others in theirs.

She has practiced Transcendental Meditation since 2020 and is approaching one year of sobriety. These commitments have deepened her understanding of the mind-body connection and strengthened her belief that movement is an art form — an expression of who we are and how we heal.

Outside the studio, Christine lives in Keyport, NJ. She is a mother of two free-spirited, exceptionally vibrant daughters and works per diem as a registered dental hygienist. She is deeply passionate about music — especially curating weekly Spotify playlists — and actively supports her local original music scene.

Laura

Laura has been practicing Pilates for more than a decade. She always enjoyed being active, but Pilates quickly became her favorite form of movement because it blends strength, mobility, and coordination in a fun, challenging way. Laura was an attorney when she discovered Pilates and took classes whenever she could. After having children, she chose to leave her legal career — a job she never truly enjoyed — and pursue a new path as a Pilates instructor.

Laura is passionate about helping people move and feel better in their bodies. She loves knowing that the strength and awareness her clients build in class help them sit straighter and stand taller throughout their day. She curates each weekly playlist with care and hopes her classes become a highlight in her clients’ week.
